Mrs. Alberta Lockley Grier passed away February 27, 2022.  A native of Jacksonville, she attended the local schools.  Mrs. Grier was employed by River Garden Rehabilitation Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she rendered several years of dedicated service before retiring.  Other affiliations include being a member of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church, H.B. Charles, Jr., Pastor-Teacher.  She was predeceased by her parents, Fred Lockley and Mrs. Georgia Stamper Lockley and husband, John Grier.  Survivors include her children, Carrol Grier Boggs, Ralph Grier, Jacqueline Obi, Cynthia Grier and Kathy Ramsey; siblings, Addie Lee, Clyde Lockley, Ronald Lockley and Frederick Lockley; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
