HILTON Mr. Alexander Christopher Hilton, 74, passed away peacefully October 16, 2010. He was a native of Georgetown, SC, having resided in Jacksonville over 40 years, where he was a member of Greater Church of God by Faith of Jacksonville. Mr. Hilton was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army until being Honorably Discharged. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah G. Hilton; children, Aurelia Daley, Amaryllis Thomas, Castelleo Rhodes(Gary), Alexander Hilton, Jr.(Phyllis), Patricia Hilton(Eugene Nixon) Earnestine Hilton , Sarah L. Nelson, Shirley Sanders(John) Curtis L. Hilton and Cassandra Y. Hilton; 60 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; a number of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM, Friday, October 22, 2010 at Greater Church of God By Faith of Jacksonville, Pastor Cedric Matthews, officiating. Mr. Hilton will rest in the mortuary for visitation Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and Friday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery. The cortege will assemble at 7164 Mark Street under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. 904-766-9671.
