WILLIAMS Mrs. Annette Thomas Williams of 2528 Teal St., passed away peacefully January 3, 2011. A Jacksonville native, Mrs. Williams was born to the late Ernest Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Hattie Platt Thomas. She attended local public schools, graduating from New Stanton Sr. High School-Class of 1957. For many years Mrs. Williams was self employed as a well known Cosmetologist. For many years, she was a faithful member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a member of District # 4. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her parents, and brother Abraham Thomas. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Jimmie L. Williams; daughter, Mrs. Sabrina Wilkerson(Darren); step children, Ms. Vercharn Jones(Scott) & Jimmie L. Williams, Jr.; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest O. Thomas, Jr.(Bennie), George E. Thomas (Marjorie) of Detroit, MI & Reginald E. Thomas; sisters, Mrs. Edna Farquharson, Mrs. Gladys Oliver, Mrs. Betty Wiiliams(Oscar) and Ms. Clarice Thomas; 3 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Second Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Odell Smith, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Mrs. Williams will rest in the mortuary for visitation Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM(where the family will receive friends at 5 PM), and Saturday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of service.
