Obituary

Mrs. Audrey White Kelly, well-known educator, passed away peacefully December 28, 2021.  A Jacksonville native, she attended the local schools, graduating from Boylan-Haven School for Girls – Class of 1948.  Furthering her education, she attended Claflin University, where she earned a B.A. degree in Education and later the Master's degree was conferred at Florida A&M University.  As one of Duval County's Outstanding Educators, Mrs. Kelly was employed by the Duval County Public School Board as a Teacher, having rendered over thirty-seven years of dedicated service before retiring.  Other affiliations include being a Communicant of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Choir and the Episcopal Church Women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and  Duval County Retired Teacher's Association.  She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mrs. Jeanette Bryant White; son, Charles H. Kelly, Jr. and husband, Charles H. Kelly, Sr. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Angela Kelly Adkins (Sam), Ms. Charlene Kelly Long, Ms. Sabrina Griffin Foster; grandchildren, Dominique Kelly (Lucy), Karen Adkin, Ameen Israel (Nicole), Kelly Adkins, Kristina Adkins, Kendall Adkins, Desmond Long and Shateena G. Love; great grandchildren, Kaylin and Malahki; sister-in-law, Mrs. Rochelle Kelly; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
