SABLON A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Barbara Hayes Sablon will be held 11 AM, THURSDAY, July 1, 2010 in the Rufus E. Payne Memorial Chapel of the mortuary, Dr. Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr., Pastor of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, officiating. Mrs. Sablon, of 4692 Portsmouth Ave., passed away peacefully June 24, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a native of Jacksonville, FL, receiving her early education in New York. Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Frances L. Laster (Lt. Col. Rodney); sons, Antonio Sablon, Sr., Raymond Sablon (Sandra) and J. Darrell Sablon (Karen); grandchildren, Ms. Madra Sablon, Antonio Sablon, Jr., Mrs. Renee' Moss (Tavaris), Ramon Sablon, Mrs. Patrice Wilcox (James), Ms. Courtney Laster, Jason Sablon and Ms. Kelcey Sablon; great grandchildren, Antonio Sablon, III, Janee Sablon, Taylor Moss, Tarell Sablon and Mekhi Wilcox; a number of other relatives and friends. There will be NO PUBLIC VIEWING. Memorialization will be by cremation. Friends are asked to assemble at the mortuary under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. 904-766-9671.
