Mr. Bennie Greene was born on April 19, 1931 in Quitman, Georgia to George and Mrs. Rosa Jones Greene. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country faithfully until being Honorably Discharged. Mr. Greene was employed by Union Carbide (now Dow Chemical) as a Distribution Manager before retiring after rendering over twenty years of dedicated service.

Other affiliations include being a member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on District #8. He was also a member of the Masonic family.

He was predeceased by his parents; son, Ellis Greene and brother, William Greene.

On February 16, 2022, Mr. Bennie Greene went home to be with the Lord.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Willie Joyce Greene; grandson, Ellis Greene, Jr.; sisters, Mrs. Bertha Wrice (Owen), Mrs. Rubye Humphrey (Nathaniel) and Mrs. Willine Miller; daughter-in-law, Ora Greene; brothers-in-law, Jesse Peterson, Jr. (Lamarion), Edmond Peterson (Ethel) and Samuel Williams; devoted nieces and nephews, Alvin and Sherri Walker, Virgil and Sonya Williams, Teresa Peterson and Frederick Peterson;  a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
