THOMAS – Ms. Bessie Mae Stafford Thomas passed away peacefully August 8, 2019.  A native of Woodbine, GA, having resided in Jacksonville most of her life, she attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton Senior High School – Class of 1951.  Ms. Thomas was employed as a Secretary with Baptist Medical Center, where she rendered over 20 years of dedicated service before retiring.  Survivors include her daughter, Ms. Lisa Thomas McCullough; foster daughter, Ms. Adrian Daniels (Bernard); 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Everett Owens (Ernestine), Freddie Lee Owens and Clinton Owens; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
