Obituary

KELLY Mrs. Carolyn Janet Graddick Kelly of 9044 Castle Blvd. passed away peacefully April 2, 2010. She was a native of Jacksonville, Fl, where she received her early education in local public schools of Duval County, graduating from New Stanton Senior High School- Class of 1965. She was a faithful member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Herb Anderson, Pastor, where she served as member of District # 25 and Vacation Bible School Worker. Mrs. Kelly was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Claims Examiner until she retired after 30 years of dedicated service. She was predeceased by both parents, Nathan and Willie Mae Graddick; and sister, Mrs. Wilma Hodge. Survivors include her husband, Curtis L. Kelly, Sr.; sons, Curtis L. Kelly, Jr. and Craig L. Kelly; 8 grandchildren; 4 great- grands; brothers, Nathan Graddick, Jr. (Mary Ann) and Carlton Graddick; sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Rogers (Sidney) and Ms. Ivey Roberson-Howard; mother-in-law, Crawley Mae Kelly; brother and sisters-in-law, Larry Hodge, Ms. Margie K. Cody, Ms. Sandra K. Smith, Mrs. Debora K. Steele (Emerson), Mrs. Beverly J. Griffin (Lenward, Jr.); a number of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11AM, Friday, April 9, 2010 at her church, with Rev. James W. Henry, officiating. Mrs. Kelly will rest in the mortuary for visitation Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and Friday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The cortege will assemble at the residence under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. 904-766-9671.
