Cecil Lavelle "Buddy" Myles was called to take his final rest on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Cecil was born to his parents,John Osie Myles and Daisy B.Myles on February 4, 1928, in Waycross, Georgia. He was educated in the public school system of Waycross, Georgia, and graduated from Center High School in1952.

Cecil received a football scholarship which assisted his attending Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly, he was a member of Saint Peters Baptist Church in Waycross, Georgia.

During World War II, Cecil served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii, until he was Honorably Discharged.

Cecil was united in holy matrimony to Corrie Taylor, who preceded him in death. After many years, Cecil met and married Essie Mae Bradley on September 18, 1996. She lovingly referred to him as "Buddy," and she completed her life's journey with him on July 17, 2021. Buddy worked and retired as a Custodian for the Duval County School Board,completing his last work assignment at Pickettville Elementary school in Jacksonville, Florida.

He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Johnny Myles, Lorensell Myles, Coris Myles And Ms.Dorothy Myles McDowell .Cecil leaves behind cherished memories with his son, Elton Tyrone Daniels (Rose Marie); step- daughter and caregiver, Ms.Cheryl Patterson;grandchildren, Ms. Tabatha V. Daniels and Elgin T. Daniels, Jr. (Terri); great-grandchildren, Emile Daniels and Laila Daniels; special grandchildren and caregivers, Kenneth E. Patterson, II, and Eddie Desean Hollins; siblings, Elder Avery Jewell Myles (Ella) of Blackshear, GA, Mrs. Irma Joyce Myles Howard Of Waycross,GA , and George Artis Myles (Deloris) of Sanford, FL; devoted niece, Ms. Deloria Joyce Howard; additional stepchildren, Ms. Cassandra Jennings, Uzee Bradley, and Robert Bradley; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
