Obituary

Mrs. Clydia Mae Henry Kelley, 106, Centenarian, was born on November 1, 1913 to the late George Washington and Mary Lovenia Henry in Baxley, Georgia, where she attended the local public schools of Appling County.

In her adult life, she met the love of her life, SFC Carlos C. Kelley, on October 23, 1945, they were united in Holy Matrimony.  The couple lived in Jacksonville off and on for over 70 years.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a loyal and dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for over fifty-eight years.

Mrs. Kelley enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband, as he fulfilled his military service to his country. She resided in Paris, France for a number of years.

She was predeceased by her husband; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Harris and Mrs. Pearlie Brantley.

On March 23, 2020, while residing in Douglasville, Georgia, Mrs. Kelley departed this life.  She leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Mrs. Thelma Spicer, Mrs. Mary Ann Elliott and Mrs. J. Nellie Bryant; nephews, Marvin M. Henry, Charles E. Marshall, David L. Jones, Jack L. Henry and Billy D. Henry; godson, Reverend O'Neal Tucker; goddaughter, Mrs. Lula Rowe; a number of other close friends and lovely church members.
