Obituary

On August 8, 2023, Delores Elizabeth Daniels Pullins transitioned from this earthly tabernacle and entered into everlasting life.

On July 23, 1938, she was born to Rev. Thomas & Robbie Daniels in Jacksonville, Florida. Delores was an only child. Excelling in educational pursuits, she graduated from Stanton Senior High School in 1956, and entered Bethune Cookman College, graduating in 1960 with her Bachelor of Administration degree.

As the daughter of a pastor, she understood and dedicated herselfto the Lord's church. As a young girl, she was baptized at Second Missionary Baptist Church, serving in various ministries such as Sunday School teacher, Deaconess, Adult Choir, and the Usher Board to name a few. She was even voted "Mother of the Year"• by her church family. Delores also was a chartered member of the "Live Long and Like It" Social Club. Delores began her 34 year career as an educator with DCPS, teaching elementary students at S.A. Hull and Englewood Elementary. Throughout these years, she equally divided herself among her husband, children, and students, making sure they all knew that they were worthy and loved.

She retired in 1996. Delores had already met the love of her life in high school, and she
along with Jesse Pullins, Jr. made it a reality on December 20, 1961, by uniting in holy matrimony. From this union, they were blessed with 3 wonderful sons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Thomas and Robbie Daniels; sisters-in-law, Betty Williams and Delores Carter. Delores leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband of 61 years, Jesse Pullins, Jr.; sons, Jesse R. Pullins (Laurissa), Cedric V. Pullins (Deitra), and Andre' D.
