Life's Reflections
Earline Seabrook Floyd passed away peacefully on March 17,2025, surrounded by
family. She was born on August 27,1940 in Beaufort, South Carolina, to the late
Oliver and Helen Seabrook. Earline spent her formative years in Jacksonville,
Florida. She graduated from Matthew W. Gilbert Junior-Senior High School- Class
Of 1958. Furthering her education, she attended Florida Community College of
Jacksonville.
Earline's unwavering devotion and affection for the Lord lead her to attend St.
Luke Baptist Church, where she became the first female Sunday School
Superintendent. After leaving St. Luke, her calling led her into the ministry of
serving the community, bringing warmth, kindness and a sense of humor to
everyone she met.
Earline retired from Benco Party Favors, where she rendered over 30 years of
dedicated service. She was a dedicated volunteer with the "I'm A Star
Foundation" for several years. In addition to serving as a community advocate for
Justina Road neighborhood and Justina Elementary School, Earline was dubbed
the title "Mayor of Justina Road" and affectionately called Mama and Grandma.
Earline was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Floyd; parents, Oliver and
Helen Seabrook; daughter, LaShawn Bennett; and sister, Bernice Seabrook
Johnson.
Earline leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory; daughter, Sharon
Belcher; sons James Belcher (Bridgett), Raymond Brown( Bridgette), and Edward
Bennett; Bonus family , Shirlene Floyd, Theodore Floyd, Ronald Floyd (Sharon),
Fontaine Drummond and Jeff Floyd; brothers, Oliver Seabrook (Anita), Larry
Seabrook(Maria); sisters, Harriet Seabrook Jarrett, Dorothy Seabrook Johnson,
Helen Seabrook Deas, Betty Seabrook Burney and Dr. Priscilla Seabrook
Jenkins(Glenn) ; 13 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends forever holding cherished memories
in their hearts.
