Mr. Eddie Lewis, Jr., 57, affectionately known as "Bug," was born January 3, 1965 in Jacksonville, Florida to Mr. Eddie Lewis Ellis, Sr and Mrs. Julia Roper Ellis.  He attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from William M. Raines Senior High School – Class of 1983.

Mr. Ellis was employed with Baptist Medical Center and Memorial Hospital. Eddie later earned his Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and became a Truck Driver, where he was further employed by Mosovitz Produce and later Pony Express, having rendered several years of dedicated service.

Eddie was the type of person that enjoyed life, the Lord, his son, his family, his friends and football.

He was predeceased by his loved ones, Mr. Eddie Lewis Ellis, Sr., Patricia Bracey and Elmer Howard, Jr.

On January 5, 2022, Eddie Lewis "Bug" Ellis, Jr. went home to be with the Lord.  He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Shawn Aaron Ellis; mother, Ms. Julia Ellis; brothers, Jeffery D. Ellis and Antonio Howard; sisters, Harriett A. Ellis, Phyllis Ellis Flowers, Jerlene Howard, Angenette Howard and Linda Howard; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
