Mrs. Elizabeth Crews Harris passed away June 13, 2021. A native Eufaula, Alabama, having resided in Jacksonville most of her life, she attended the local public schools, graduating from Stanton Senior High School - Class of 1949. Furthering her education she earned certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, where she rendered over twenty-five years as a Healthcare Provider.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Lewis Memorial A.M.E. Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher before her health began to fail.
Mrs. Harris was predeceased by her parents, John and Mrs. Annie Pearl Rivers Crews and husband, William E. Harris, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Joyce Joyner (Roselle), Marvin Holmes both of Richmond, California, Melvin Holmes and Warrick Holmes; sisters, Delores Robinson, Sylvia Simmons and Ollie Maw Brown; brothers, Curtis Crews (Sharon) of Atlanta, Georgia and Darnell Crews (Clara); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a number of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Bobbie Singleton, Minnie Smith, R.L. Davis and favorite grandchild, Plum.
