BLUNT Mrs. Esther Ernestine Dailey Blunt passed away peacefully July 18, 2009 in Bronx, NY. She was a native of Lake Butler, FL, having resided in Jacksonville, FL, where she received her early education in the schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton Senior High School. After relocating to New York, Mrs. Blunt was employed with the New York Hospital until she retired after 20 years of dedicated service. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Wright, Herman Brown, Mrs. June Reed (Kelly), Ms. Jeanette Smith, Ms. Althea Blunt, Ms. Bahiyyah Abdul-Aziz, Robert Blunt (Wanda), Rodney Blunt and Carlos Blunt; 20 grandchildren; great grandchildren; great, great grandchildren; sister-in- law, Ms. Elizabeth Mobley; a number of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 10 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, Dr. Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., Pastors. Mrs. Blunt will rest in the mortuary for visitation Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM (where the family will receive friends at 5 PM) and at the church Saturday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
