Mrs. Georgia Lee Stephens was born in Unadilla, Georgia on January 5, 1932, the eldest child to the late Howard and Esther Williams.

In 1951, she graduated from Houston County High School in Perry, Georgia, and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida.

Mrs. Stephens accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age.

She was a member of Moncrief Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years, presently under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Quovadis G. Thomas. During her tenure at her church, she taught Sunday School and she also served on the Usher Board.

Mrs. Stephens was employed with the Duval County School Board and with Mayo Clinic.  She retired from Mayo Clinic in 1992, having rendered dedicated service in the Radiology Department as a File Clerk.

After retirement, she relocated to Eufaula, Alabama in 2011, to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law.  She became a member of Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stephens was predeceased by husband, Elder L. Holsey and Willie Stephens and grandson, Markus Joy.

On May 12, 2020, the Lord called Mrs. Georgia Lee Stephens home.  She leaves to cherish her memory her family and friends; daughter, Melva Joy (Mark); son, Edward Holsey; grandson, Miguel Joy (Chrystal); great-grandchildren, Micah Bailey and Joy Bailey, Cierra and Makayla Winder; sister, Ora Dean Brown; brothers, Waymond and Raymond Williams; special granddaughter-in-law, Ella Joy; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including an adopted granddaughter, Cassandra Hutchins and very good friends, Velma Denson and Oscar Joy.
