BOYD - Mrs. Boyd passed away peacefully on December 8, 2018.  A native of Folkston, GA having resided in Jacksonville, FL most of her life, she attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton Senior High School – Class of 1942.  Furthering her education Mrs. Boyd earned Cosmetology Certification at Duval County Vocational School.  She was predeceased by her parents, Lee Austin and Minnie Dawson and husband, Bill J. Boyd. Survivors include her brother, Warren Austin (Jackie); caregiver & niece, Mrs. Gloria Austin Howell (James); devoted nephews, Melvin Austin (Georgia), Willie Austin (Jennifer) and Kenneth Austin; sister-in-law, Mrs. Essie Sims; a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
