Glenn Jefferson Hollingsworth, Jr. transitioned from labor to reward on August 3, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Jefferson Hollingsworth, Sr. and Eva Pettigrew Hollingsworth. Born on January 10, 1939 in Atlanta, Georgia, Glenn was a graduate of Henry McNeal Turner ~ class of 1957. He also attended Hampton Institute in Hampton, Virginia. He relocated to Lake Mary, Florida in 1993, where he and his wife Jeanette enjoyed the remaining of his years.

Glenn was a fun loving and a kind man who loved God, his wife, his children, his family and his friends. He was devoted to his family.  His life work in logistics began as a professional driver, retiring in 2012 after 38 years of dedicated service.

He was the very first black member of The Teamster Union (Atlanta, Georgia). He continued his membership for over 38 years. He was also a member of The American Legion, Valdosta, Georgia.  He also enjoyed travel worldwide, attending NFL games, Super Bowls, NASCAR races, golf, basketball games, baseball games and cruises of all kinds. Known for his travel and all other advice and driving directions, Glenn was the worlds first human GPS!

A faithful servant of God, Glenn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Glenn leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 29 years, Jeanette B. Hollingsworth; sons, Glenn Hollingsworth, III, Johniston Hollingsworth; daughters, Zenobia Hollingsworth Carter and Stephanie Morton Willis; grandchildren, Zedrick Carter, Rhonshaney Holt, Dant'e Carter, Larvell Hollingsworth, Symone Hollingsworth, Glenn Hollingsworth, IV., Victoria Ross, Aulelei Jackson, Chant'e Kee (Lamont), and Cory Morton; sister in law, Claudette Brady; brother in law, Joe Brady (Carol), eighteen great grand children, cousins, aunts and a host of other relatives, countless friends and numerous church friends.
