Mrs. Graylayn Matthews Lesesne passed away August 4, 2021.  A Jacksonville native, she attended the local schools, graduating from Stanton Senior High School – Class of 1943.  Mrs. Lesesne was employed by the Duval County School Board as a Secretary, where she rendered over thirty-two years of dedicated service before retiring.  Other affiliations include being a member of Central Baptist Institutional Church and Beauxmonde Social Club.  She was predeceased by her parents, Cleveland Matthews and Mrs. Martha Brown Matthews, husband, George "Dewey" Lesesne, Jr. and daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Jones.  Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Yvette G. Hampton; grandchildren, Mario Hampton, Rashad Hampton, Ms. Jessica Jones and Isaac Jones; a number of other relatives and friends.
