Mrs. Hattie Mae Jenkins Nesbit, well-known businesswoman, passed away November 25, 2021.  A native of Ridgeville, SC, she attended the schools of Charleston and Dorchester Counties, graduating from Burke High School.  Furthering her education, she attended Florida A & M University, earning certification in Cosmetology.  Mrs. Nesbit was Owner/Operator of Nesbits Beauty Salon, where she rendered over 60 years of dedicated service before retiring.  Other affiliations include being a member of New Bethel AME Church, having served as a Trustee, former president of the G.W. Bruton Usher Board, member of the Missionary Society, former member of the Order Eastern Star and Connoisseurs of Cosmetology.  She was predeceased by her husband, Nathan Nesbit.  Survivors include her children, Nathan Nesbit, Jr. (Oniretta), Ms. Sharon Nesbit Robinson Grant (Thomas); 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Albert Jenkins; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
