Mr. Kay was a native of Beeville, Texas where he received his formal education in the Bee County public schools, graduating from A.C. Jones High School – Class of 1967.  He was a United States Army veteran and was employed by AT&T with many years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Ruth (Barefield) Goode; and a sister, Johnnie Mae Edmonds. Survivors include his sisters, Mrs.Willie Mae Miller (Rufus) and Mrs. Levonne Alexander (Charleston); brothers, James Lewis (Kathy) and Woodrow Goode (Angela); and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
