James Clarence Smith, 59, passed away August 28, 2021.  A native of Newark, New Jersey, he attended the local schools, graduated from East Orange Senior High School – Class of 1980. In his adult life, he relocated to Jacksonville. Mr. Smith was employed by Lazer Spot as a Supervisor, having rendered many years of dedicated service. He resided in Jacksonville for several years.  Other affiliations include being a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Pastor Darrell L. Gilyard.  He was predeceased by his parents, John Henry Smith and Mrs. Patricia McPherson Smith.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sandra Nelson Smith; children, Shakera Robinson, Niyaa Robinson, Tinisha Robinson, Troy Robinson, Tiffany Dnoadelle; stepdaughters, Tondrica Sodenasky (Nicholas), Kenya Johnson (Byron), Kristin Teamer (Phillip) and Danielle Nelson; sisters, Lillian Smith, Marti Smith and Pamela Smith; brothers, Charles Edwards, Wayne Edwards (Rita) and David Edwards.
