Mrs. Janie Mervin passed away on November 17, 2020. A native of Edisto Island, South Carolina, she attended the local public schools, graduating from Baptist Hill High School – Class of 1961. Mrs. Mervin was employed as an Educator by Hope Chapel Christian Assembly Day Care, where she rendered over 5 years of dedicated service. Other affiliations include being a faithful member of Hope Chapel Ministries, Apostle Jeannette C. Holmes-Vann, Pastor. She was predeceased by her daughter, Surazanne Kiki Washington, sister, Gladys Hunt and brother, Samuel White. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Robert Mervin (Felicia), Stephanie E. Mervin of Ft. Worth, Texas, Reginald Mervin of Parrish, Florida, Aaron Mervin (Katrina), Rhonda Fossett and Adria Fenn; sisters, Melissa Birch of New York and Mae Dean Snead of Georgia; grandchild, Micah Mervin; a host of other relatives and friends.
