Jessie Bell Kelly Ward's Obituary
WARD- Mrs. Ward was a Soperton, Georgia native, where she received her formal education prior relocating to Jacksonville, FL where she attended Stanton Senior High School. Mrs. Ward was employed as a Bus Attendant with Durham Bus, Inc. and First Student for many years. Other affiliations include, President of Ushers Union of Emanuel Progressive Assc. for 38+ years, State Director for Ushers Union for Florida General Baptist Convention, Recording Secretary for Laymen Dept. of the General Baptist Convention and numerous other capacities. She was predeceased by her husband, George H. Ward and daughters, Ms. Delphenia Russ and Ms. DeLaon Ward. Survivors include her son, George W. Ward (Susie); daughters, Ms. Lorraine Ward-Tolbert, Mrs. Patricia Medlock (Larry) and Mrs. Rosalyn Sumter (Gus); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a number of other relatives and friends.
