Ms. Jones passed away November 17, 2020.  A native of Jacksonville, she attended the local public schools, graduating from Matthew W. Gilbert Junior-Senior High School – Class of 1964.  She was employed by Brooks Rehabilitation Center as a Physical Therapist Aide, having rendered over 40 years of dedicated service before retiring.  Ms. Jones was predeceased by her husband, Adolphus Jones and son, George E. Major, Jr. Survivors include her children, Troy Major (Tameko), Hannatter Davis (Anthony), Linda Jones, Denisha Merriweather, Jarven Jones, Jamyha Jones and Joseph Jones; grandchildren; Brieon Davis, Jaydon and Jakari Major, Ashanti Jones, Anthony Davis and Nicki; great grandchild, Brieon Davis, Jr; 2 sisters; brother; stepdaughter, Telesia Jones-Whetstone; goddaughters, Angela Clark and Taneshia Way; a number of other relatives and friends.
