Joyce Marie Daniels, a former resident of Jacksonville's Eastside, passed away peacefully December 8, 2020 in CA, where she lived for over 55 years. The fourth child born of the late Washington and Annie Daniels, she graduated from Matthew W. Gilbert Jr./Sr. High School – Class of 1960.  In 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Jerome Sims Adams who retired from the U.S. Army, after rendering over 20 years of dedicated service. This union was blessed with three children.  As an active member in her church, Solomon Temple Baptist, she served in several capacities, including as a Church Mother.  She was predeceased by her husband and brother, Johnnie Daniels.  Survivors include her children, Angela Adams, Candace Johnson and Jerome Adams, Jr. of CA; sisters, Mary Ann Richardson of Jax, FL and Patricia Daniels of CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ann Holcomb Daniels, William Daniels (Christine) of MS and James Daniels (Debrah) of Jax, FL; grandchildren, Brittany, Ron, Jasmin, Jerome III, Kingston and Royce of CA; nieces, Sharon, Chiquita, Johnell, Janea, Chantel, Karma and Denea; nephews, Billy, Johnnie Jr., Rickey, Michael, Doug and Derrick; best friend, Mae Brown (Walter) of CA; adopted brother, Rev. Ron Dillingham (Dee) of CA; childhood friends, Evelyn F. Morgan and The Seabrooks Family of Jax, FL; many other relatives, sorrowing friends and classmates.
