Mrs. Laney Mae Drinks Barney passed away peacefully April 14, 2020.  A native of Jacksonville, she attended the local public schools of Duval County.  Mrs. Barney was employed by Sears & Roebuck, Inc. as a Merchandise Handler, having rendered over 20 years of dedicated service before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Barney and son-in-law, Thomas Johnson, Jr.  Survivors include her children, Mrs. Marilyn Barney, Leonard L. Barney, Jr. (Felicia) and Ms. Linda Barney Johnson; grandchildren, Alondre Johnson, Delon Johnson, Ms. Talonda Johnson, Ms. Leslie Barney and Lavonya Johnson; sister-in-law, Mrs. Joan Barney; stepdaughter, Ms. Carolyn Harris; stepson, Lewis Barney (Pauline); a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
