Mrs. Scott was born February 16, 1914 in Jacksonville, Florida.  She graduated from Stanton High School and was the last elected President of the class of 1933.

Her spiritual growth began at a young age in St. Paul A. M. E. Church where her family worshiped.  She formed childhood friends that lasted throughout their lives and when asked what she attributed to her long life on 02/07/19 she answered with:  "God is not ready for me yet".

Mrs. Scott was one of the original members of Usher Board #2 and served faithfully as Recording Secretary.  She stayed at her post until the age of 92.  She was honored by her Pastor Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Zanders, II who named the youth Usher Board: The Lois B. Scott Female Youth Usher Board.  She enjoyed weekly meetings with the VOLUNTEERS, assisting with church related chores but mostly because of the joyful time spent with old friends

She was a member of the Helping Hands Social and Savings Club.  She enjoyed traveling with family and friends.  She was a seamstress and took on many challenges the required dedication and pride in a job well done.

As time passed, she devoted her days to reading the newspaper, searching for words in her Word Find Books, and watching game shows on television.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Carey Scott; sister, Dorothy Davis and grandson-in-law, Richard Roberts.

On April 4, 2020 Mrs. Lois B. Scott passed away and is survived by her family, Yvonne H. Adams(Furman), Nadia A. Roberts, Gary F. Adams, Sr.(Jackie), Karen A. Boyd(Michael), Gary F. Adams, Jr, Yvonne N. Williams, Christopher F. Adams(Alexx); great grand children; great great-grand children; nephews, Lewis Davis, Ronnie Davis, Daniel Davis and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
