Johnny Lee Miller was born on April 18, 1950, in Lloyd, Florida, to the late John David Miller and Mattie Mae Miller. He was educated in Duval & Broward County School Systems and graduated from Crispus Attucks in 1968. Shortly after graduating high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country honorably. After Discharge, he was a Merchant Marine for a short time where he served the Vietnam War and earned the National Defense Service Medal.
On October 21, 1972, Johnny was united in marriage to Diane McKinnon in Folkston, Georgia. He later made Jacksonville, Florida his home, where he spent most of his life. Johnny was a hardworking and dedicated man who served as a maintenance technician for Congregation Ahavath Chesed for over 20 years.
Johnny was also a faithful member of The Heir Church, under the leadership of Dr. David Thomas.
Johnny Miller departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mattie Mae Miller; and his siblings, Morris Miller, Mamie Lou Miller, Paul Miller, Shirley Miller, and Carolyn Myers. Johnny leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted wife, Diane McKinnon Miller; children, Jerome Miller (), Angela Jackson Gray (Sean), Natasha Miller Mack (Warren), Tarica Miller Simplice (Francenet), Johnny D. Miller, Jason L. Miller, Teneka M. Miller, and Jonteau M. Miller (); 41 grandchildren and 33 greatgrandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Jean Dobbin, Patricia Williams, John A. Miller, Jr., Timmie L. Miller, Dale M. Serrod (Jimmy), Taitisia Miller, Stanley Miller (Debra), Donald Jackson (Renee), Ashley Jackson, Rosalind Nealy (Sylvester), Deborah Sneed, Janice Campbell, Eddie Jean Webb, and Robert Webb; a devoted niece, Ms. Ruby Williams; sisters-in-law, Cassie B. Lindsey and Ruthie M. Fuller; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
