Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Cromartie was born on December 31, 1932 to the late James Wilson and Ruth Mae Ross Wilson McKinon in Lake City, FL. She was reared by her mother and stepfather, Titus McKinon. She attended the local public schools of Columbia County.
Early in life she accepted Christ and at the time of her demise was a member of Church Of God, under the pastorate of Reverend Charlie Peavy.
In 1954, she was united in holy matrimony to Johnnie W. Cromartie. This union was blessed with three sons.
After being a homemaker raising her children for many years, she was employed by the Jefferson Hotel, from where she retired in 1985.
Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Cromartie departed this life Wednesday, August 24, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Johnnie Cromartie (Alicia), Walter Cromartie, Donald Cromartie (Rosetta); Sisters, Mrs. Cassie Lindsey, Mrs. Ruth Fuller, Mrs. Diane Miller (Johnny); devoted nieces, Mrs. Evelyn McKinnie, Mrs. Ruby McKinnie, Mrs. Mariah McKinnie, Mrs.Brenda Daniel , Mrs. Silvia and Mrs. Neicy; nephew, Tommy Fuller; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; special friends, Joanne Burns, Brenda Broomfield and Charlie Peavy (Shannon) ; a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends .
