Frances Elizabeth Van Dyke, daughter of the late Mr. William Van Dyke Sr and Mrs. Arabella Walker Van Dyke was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 27, 1942. She attended the local schools of Duval county and graduated from Douglas Anderson High School.
She enjoyed life with her three brothers whom have preceded her in death, James E. Franklin Van Dyke, William Van Dyke Jr. and Clarence Eugene Van Dyke.
Her family members were active in the Midway Tabernacle Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Fl. At an early age; Frances, accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was Baptized under the leadership of Pastor GL Boyd.
Demonstrating her passion in the Medical Field, she became a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. She continued within the profession throughout her career until she retired. Her passion and compassion for her immediate family and for those she knew and loved was unmatched, so focused and disciplined. Everything had its place and a place for everything. Puzzles, Reading and Soap Operas, gave her great joy! Soft spoken mannerism was more effective than the loudest person in the room. To know her was to was love her.
Frances was a beloved Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend. She was also predeceased by her devoted first cousin, Ms.Janet P. Hankins., Jacksonville, Fl. Ms. Frances Elizabeth Van Dyke departed this life on January 14,2023.
She is survived by her sons, David Van Dyke Sr. and Corey Van Dyke; grandsons, David Van Dyke Jr. and Corey Van Dyke Jr.; great grandson, King David Van Dyke; nieces, Ephonia Van Dyke Brown and Joan Brown-Lee both of Milwaukie WI.; first cousins, Hazel Holmes-Wilson of Delran, N J ,Paula L. Derry and Leon Van Dyke Sr. of Yulee, Fl; a number of other relatives & friends.
