M rs. Rachel Bell Scott Lockley passed away on February 8, 2020. A native of Quincy, FL, she attended the local public schools of Gadsden County, graduating as Valedictorian from Stevens High School.  Furthering her education, she attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville, having earned an A.S. degree in Early Childhood Development (1981).  Mrs. Lockley was employed as a Teacher by Head Start, Inc., where she rendered over twenty-two years of dedicated service before retiring.  She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Lockley, Jr. and sister, Ann Armstead.   Survivors include her children, Rev. Warren A. Lockley (Alva Earlette), Mrs. S. Belinda Lockley-Thomas (Bishop Dr. Torrence E.); grandchildren, Justina Rachelle Lockley (Greg Miller, special friend), Anthony Leon Lockley and Alisha Simone Lockley; brothers-in-law; Clyde Lockley (Barbara), Ronald Lockley (Shirley), Frederick Lockley (Dee); sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alberta Greer and Mrs. Addie R. Lockley Lee (Spencer); devoted niece and nephew, Dr. Gail Armstead Hankins (Dr. Orlando) and Dennis Armstead, III (Dr. Sandra); a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
