Rosalee Barnes Reid was born on June 21, 1932, to the late Mary Paterson Barnes and Albert Barnes, in Jacksonville, Florida.

She attended the local public schools of Duval County, graduating from Stanton High School – Class of 1951. Rosalee served as a dedicated housekeeper for 40 years before she retired.

As a faithful member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Reid served in many capacities, including Prayer Warrior and Usher.

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, God in his infinite wisdom saw fit to reward Rosalee Barnes Reid rest from her earthly labors. She was predeceased by her parents, seven siblings and granddaughter Shanel Reid. She is survived by her sons, Robert Lee Jr., Dorrell Elaine Reid Neal (Carl),Michael Reid, Carl Reid, Marvin Reid and Darryl Reid (Everlina); grandchildren, Cheryl Neal, Panel Reid, Carla Sellers (Danny); special family, Jay Grife, Donna Grife, Jessica Loeang and Chelsey Grife; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
