Our beloved family member, Sandra J. White, departed this life on November 9, 2022.  Sandra
was born June 12, 1950, in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Sandy Johnson and Laura Jean Duffee.
Sandra and James E. White were united in holy matrimony in 1971.
Upon graduating Rickards High School in 1968, Sandra would matriculate at Florida Agricultural
and Mechanical University (FAMU), both in Tallahassee, Florida.  As a FAMU undergraduate,
Sandra was initiated into the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Sandra
would graduate from Florida A&M with a bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology in 1970.  After
establishing roots in Jacksonville, Florida, Sandra would further her education at the University
of North Florida where she would earn a Master's Degree in Education Leadership, in 1983 and a
Master's Degree in Special Education, in 1996.
Sandra was an active member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sandra was very proud of being a founding leader of the Girl Scout troupe at Bethel Baptist.
Sandra worked 30 years for Duval County Public School System, first in the capacity of a Speech
Therapist and retiring as Vice-Principal of Beauclerc Elementary School.
Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashlee Denise; sister, Tequesta Lynn Johnson;
father-in-law, Zollie White, Sr., and brother-in-law, Wayne L. White.
Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband of 51 years, James E.
White; daughter, Candace Donata (Reverend Oscar Scott, III); grandchildren, Elizabeth Ashlee
Scott and Joshua James Oscar Scott; sisters Gloria  Sullivan(Robert), Diane Gates, and Brenda
Johnson; mother-in-law, Mecie White; sisters-in-law Patricia  Blue(Keith) and Johanna White;
brothers-in-law, Zollie White,II(Anna) and Antony White; and a host of nieces, nephews,
family, and friends who loved her dearly.
