Mrs. Viola P. Albritton passed away peacefully in her home on April 4, 2022. A native of Jacksonville, she attended the local schools, graduating from Stanton Senior High School – Class of 1949. Furthering her education, she graduated from Edward Waters Junior College. She also attended Bethune-Cookman College and later earned a B.S. degree in Sociology from Edward Waters College. Mrs. Albritton was employed by HRS as a Social Worker, having rendered over 25 years of dedicated service before retiring. Other affiliations include being a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Albritton was formerly a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. In 2018, she became a faithful member of The Bethel Church. She was predeceased by her son, Troy Caldwell; siblings, Mrs. Alva Shootes, Mrs. Ethel McClenton, Mrs. Thelma Mitchell Wynn and Mrs. Earnestine Myers, Rev. Alvin Parris, Jr., Bishop James Parris, Sr. and Rev. Elisha Parris. Survivors include her children, Pastor Reginald Caldwell (Lillie) and Pastor Kenneth Caldwell (Delvia) of Tampa, FL; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Geneva Presha of Middleburg, FL; brother-in-law; King Earl Myers; faithful friend, Minnie Mason; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
