For over 60 years, the name Alphonso West has been synonymous with comfort and integrity in Duval and surrounding counties. When the opportunity came for Roderic and Terona Feacher to continue this legacy, they knew they wanted to honor its history while beginning a new chapter of their own.
Feacher-West reflects that meaningful transition and their shared commitment to serving families with the same dedication this community has counted on for nearly four decades. Roderic and Terona are both Jacksonville natives who grew up near this funeral home. They attended mortuary school together in 2010, graduated in 2012, and became licensed embalmers and funeral directors. This work isn't just a career for them. It's a calling they've built their lives around, together.
Roderic served as Licensed Funeral Director in Charge and embalmer at Huff & Battise Funeral Home from 2014 to 2018, caring for families in Fernandina Beach, Yulee, and Jacksonville. In 2018, he joined Alphonso West Mortuary as its sole embalmer, deepening his connection to the very community he now leads.
Terona has directed funerals for local funeral homes since 2016, bringing quiet steadiness and genuine care to every family she serves. Together, Roderic and Terona are honored to carry this legacy forward and to be here for families in Duval and surrounding counties in the moments that matter most.
